Ammar joined Dominion in February of 2020 as Executive Director in the Los Angeles office to strengthen Dominion’s relationships with partners and clients in the Western United States. He works to highlight Dominion’s corporate governance, fiduciary, and fund related services abroad for relevant domestic partners and clients.
Prior to heading up Dominion’s office in Los Angeles, Ammar has been a California admitted attorney for over 10 years. He worked most recently as a Trust Advisor to High Net Worth, Sports, and Entertainment clients at City National Bank, a subsidiary of RBC, advising them on estate and succession planning and trust administration. His experience also includes advising corporate, fund, and individual clients on international taxation transactions at KPMG and PwC in Los Angeles. His work included due diligence on inbound and outbound M&A transactions, technical opinions, and U.S. tax compliance for foreign corporations/entities.
Ammar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University Fullerton, a Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law, and a Masters in Tax Law (LL.M.) from Boston University School of Law. He is a conversant in Hindi/Urdu.
In his free time, Ammar likes to travel and spend time with his wife and son. Their recent travels include Cambodia, where they visited the Angkor Wat temple and Iceland, where they observed the Aurora Borealis. He also enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and exploring the outdoors.
