Catherine Bannister joined Dominion in 2013 and is a qualified lawyer in Malta, having been called to the bar in 2009.
Catherine began her career in financial services regulation having worked with both local law firm Simon Tortell and Associates as well as EY, principally in advising investment management companies in the establishment of professional investor funds in Malta as well as advising other financial services providers on all areas of regulation.
Since joining Dominion, Catherine has held the position as director of the Malta office and is involved in overseeing the Malta administration team in the provision of client services and in developing client relationships in the area of trusts and pension with a focus on QROPS, QNUPS and other international pension solutions. Catherine is also involved in assisting in the planning and structuring opportunities involving Malta trust and corporate structures for clients.
Catherine is also responsible for the compliance of the Malta office ensuring the on-going operation of a trust and pension provider in compliance with regulatory requirements issued and has had extensive involvement in the implementation of the Pensions, Trusts and Corporate Services legislative and regulatory framework.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, reading and hiking.
