Emily Gauci is our Operations Director at the Dominion Malta office. As a board member on the second line of defence, she is responsible for oversight on the accounting, compliance and IT teams. Emily has serviced clients in different industry sectors, ranging from private clients, financing companies, aviation, shipping, insurance, real estate, oil industry, software development and gaming.
Emily studied accountancy and graduated with honours from the University of Malta in 2011. She continued with her post-graduate studies while working at KPMG’s tax department, and later, with a local corporate services firm. In 2012, Emily studied for her advanced diploma in International Taxation Malta Paper IIE with the Chartered Institute of Taxation. In 2015, she received her Master of Arts in Financial Services from University of Malta and in 2016 she received her Foundation Certificate in Trust Law and Management from the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
Over the past years Emily held the position of executive director at Trustmoore, an International Corporate Services Provider and Trustee, whereby she had oversight on the finance, corporate and compliance teams. Together with her co-directors, she was also responsible for the growth strategy of Trustmoore, transitioning the Malta office from a small start-up on the local market to a well established firm with over 10x growth.
Furthermore, Emily has managed a vast portfolio of both local and international corporate clients including corporate and personal tax compliance matters, VAT compliance, accounting services and other corporate support issues. She has also been involved in company incorporations, mergers, divisions, group restructuring, the financing and leasing of certain high-value assets and cross-border tax planning.
