Melissa Gordon (née Higginbottom) is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Payroll Management for the Dominion Group, Building top level relationships and trust across Dominion’s jurisdictions: Jersey, Malta, Geneva & the US. Concentrating on Human Resources Development with an international focus; ensuring human resource disciplines are initiated within the complex structures of new set-ups, mergers and acquisitions across different business units and jurisdictions. Melissa oversees the Training & Development, Performance,Recruitment and selection amongst several other HR administrative functions with the focus of ensuring Dominion strives to meet their business objectives.
Melissa started working at Dominion Jersey in November 2015 as a Human Resources Administrator dealing with the day-to-day HR and payroll administration for the Group. In October 2016 Melissa moved to the Malta jurisdiction to dedicate time to the Regional employees’ HR and Payroll functions and gain an understanding of how the regional offices worked. In July 2018 Melissa was promoted to the role of Senior Human Resources and Payroll Officer for the group and will return to the Jersey office in September 2018 to carry out the HR function from Jersey once again.
Melissa has gained a First Class Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in International Business Languages with Human Resource Management at Edinburgh Napier University, and has recently achieved a BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Payroll Techniques.
In her spare time Melissa enjoys keeping fit, travelling, and visiting her family in Scotland
