Chris Riser is an attorney whose work centers on contingent fee deferral strategies for law firms and independent contractors, asset protection, and cross-border tax planning. He holds an A.B., M.A., J.D., and an LL.M. in Taxation, and is admitted to the Georgia Bar, the North Carolina Bar (inactive), and as a non-practising Solicitor in England & Wales.
At Dominion, Chris leads U.S. consulting operations through Dominion Plaintiffs Bar Consulting Services. He works directly with law firms, tax advisers, brokers, funders, and investment professionals to develop compliant, tax-efficient solutions that preserve and grow contingent fee income. In addition to his work with clients and advisers, he contributes to the firm’s technical tax expertise and strategic development.
Chris brings a unique blend of legal acumen and commercial insight, shaped by prior legal experience in estate planning, tax planning and asset protection planning. A former U.S. Army paratrooper, he approaches client service with discipline, precision, and pragmatism. Outside of work, Chris is an accomplished upright bass player with hundreds of live performances to his name, and he enjoys boxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu.
