Simon Bailey

Simon’s career began on the floor of the London Stock Exchange in 1984, as a Stock Jobber and market maker. He has worked as head of trading for a Jersey stock brokerage firm, before moving to Asia for some twenty-five years. Simon has also built and run a pioneering fund management company and demonstrates a solid depth and breadth of knowledge of Asian markets.

With extensive experience in the Asian theatre, he has both built and run financial service businesses, fully understanding their technical and regulatory requirements. His core strengths are in business strategy development, building and management of regional department trading teams in multiple jurisdictions, compliance, technology and corporate governance. He has proven his ability to work extensively with teams across Asia, the US and Europe to develop an integrated global pan Asia product offering. These include Daiwa SMBC Securities, Cazenove Asia, Prudential Bache Securities and Deutsche Securities.

Before joining Dominion, Simon was President and Corporate Nominee of Salisbury Securities Corp, a member of the Philippine Stock Exchange.  Simon founded and built Salisbury in 2009 and pioneered the technology required to meet the demands of institutional investors requiring solutions to access the Philippine stock market. Simon also served on the board of the Philippine Association of Securities Broker Dealers Inc. (PASBDI), working with the Philippine Stock Exchange and regulators on compliance and governance demands, to meet international standards and requirements.
